Document Restoration

Freeze drying is the simple process that removes water (moisture) from frozen products, documents or keepsakes while they remain in a frozen state, thereby maintaining shape and biological structure. Damage caused by water or moisture to important records, documents and keepsakes can occur at anytime and anyplace. The water damage can result from natural or man-made disaters and can be caused in a number of ways. Flooding and burst or backed-up pipes are the obvious causes, but other major storms like tornadoes and hurricanes can also cause tremendous water devastation. Additionally, the act of putting out fires is a common cause of water damage. STAT Services is able to recover and/or restore most any damage resulting from a water disaster. Our staff freezes the items first and then places them in the freeze-dry machine. We then monitor every aspect of the drying process to be certain that materials of various types and sizes are dried appropriately and thoroughly. It is our job to ensure that materials are dried completely so that future damage does not set in.
